This is the movie adaptation of the television animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who served as executive producers along with Aaron Ehasz.

The Last Airbender Movie Trivias
- This is the first adaptation that M. Night Shyalaman directed.
- Jesse McCartney was originally cast as to play Zuko but was replaced with Dev Patel due to schedule conflicts.
- The film remains the subject of controversy and protest due to the casting decision of all four lead roles, namely choosing largely Caucasian actors when the characters are more Asian and Native American ethnicity in the original series.
