The Bourne film series is a jump packed action-thriller spy film based on the character Jason Bourne, from a spy novel written by Robert Ludlum. It is one the top grossing film in action-spy genre. The Bourne Identity was its first installment released in 2002, followed by The Bourne Supremacy in 2004 and the third installment Bourne Ultimatum in 2007. All the Bourne film series became a both critical and commercial success. Ultimatum won three Academy Awards: Best Film Editing, Sound, and Best Sound Editing. Both Supremacy and Ultimatum won the Empire Award for Best Film. The Bourne Legacy, a spin off is currently in production with a new set of cast expected to be released on August 3, 2012.

This is the movie adaptation of the novel The Bourne Series written by the American thriller novelist Robert Ludlum.
The Bourne Identity (2002) - Plot
Based very loosely on Robert Ludlum's novel, the Bourne Identity is the story of a man whose wounded body is discovered by fishermen who nurse him back to health.
He can remember nothing and begins to try to rebuild his memory based on clues such as the Swiss bank account, the number of which, is implanted in his hip. He soon realizes that he is being hunted and takes off with Marie on a search to find out who he is and why he is being hunted. (excerpt from IMDb)

Bourne is once again brought out of hiding, this time inadvertently by London-based reporter Simon Ross who is trying to unveil Operation Blackbriar--an upgrade to Project Treadstone--in a series of newspaper columns.
