These set of reading book list are appropriate for anyone interested to learn more about the Finnish culture, its history and socio-political issues.

Finland is considered as a part of Nordic countries situated in the Northern Europe and the North Atlantic. It is known as the 8th largest country and most less dense population among European Union. Due to its enormous lakes found in the country, it is tagged as "the land of a thousand lakes" because in statistics there's one lake for every 26 of its people. How incredible is that!

I assure you this book recommendations will be really helpful for you!

Lonely Planet Finland - by: Andy Symington, George Dunford

Lonely Planet Finland does cover all of the standard sightseeing objectives in the country, including museums and natural areas outside of the largest cities. And while maps are often problematic in Lonely Planet guides, I found no errors at all in this one. The activities recommended in cities like Helsinki are spot-on, free of kitsch routes and putting travelers in good contact with the locals. The author clearly thinks that most people will be in the south of Finland in the summer, since visiting places like Suomenlinna wouldn't be all that interesting in the cold and dark time of the year.
